2012 Writing Achievements

2012 was a good year writing wise for me. I achieved a lot of bits n pieces. Read about these below. It certainly has inspired me to get my work out more this year. Happy writing.
I had short stories accepted in the following magazines and anthologies.
  • The Handbag in Boyne Berries Anthology, (to be published in March 2013)
  • The Treasure Chest in Ireland's Own magazine, ( to bepublished in 2013)
  • Santa Stuck in Ratoath in Access Ratoath e-magazine
  • The Proposal in Athlone Flash Fiction Literary Competition (I received joint second prize)
  • Mirror Mirror in Windows of Words Anthology by Charleville Writers group
  • Next Time in Windows of Words Anthology by Charleville Writers group

I also launched my 1st collection of short stories A Bakers Dozen, 0n November 9th. It was a great success and I was thrilled to see my book on the shelves for sale.
I also signed up for my 1st attempt at NaNoWriMo, a writing challenge for the month of November to write 50000 words. It was tough going but I got there and received my cert for completing the challenge. So I have my second novel The Room to Hell, well underway because of it.

My 1st collection
